Why We Light Up Christmas
For us, Christmas lights have always meant more than decorating a house.
When we were kids, there was a Christmas morning we'll never forget. We woke up excited, like kids do. We ran to see what was under the tree. But there weren't presents waiting for us.
At that age, you don't understand money problems. You don't understand that sometimes parents are doing everything they possibly can just to keep food on the table and the lights on. You only understand that it's Christmas morning, and somehow Christmas didn't feel the way you thought it was supposed to.
We never forgot that feeling.
Years later, we found ourselves in the business of creating Christmas magic for other families. We get to pull up to a home, string thousands of lights, turn them on for the first time, and watch a family stand outside together looking at what we've created.
And somewhere along the way, we realized this business could mean something much bigger.
That's why a set amount from every Christmas lighting job we book goes toward helping families who need a little extra help putting presents under the tree.
Every house we light helps us light up Christmas for another family. The more homes we decorate, the more presents we can buy. The more customers who trust us with their homes, the more parents we can help. And hopefully, the fewer kids who have to wake up on Christmas morning feeling what we once felt.
We can't help every family. But every year, we want to help more than we did the year before.
So when you hire us, you're getting more than a beautiful Christmas display. You're helping us turn something difficult from our childhood into something good for somebody else's.
Maybe it's a bicycle a kid has been asking for all year. Maybe it's the toy their parents couldn't afford. Maybe it's simply giving a mom or dad the relief of knowing that when their children wake up on Christmas morning, there will be something waiting for them.
